CHUO CHA KIMATAIFA CHA UTAFITI WA SHERIA ZA MAZINGIRA (KENYA)

Kenya ni nchi muhimu katika eneo kubwa pembeni mwa Afrika. Imezingirwa na nchi zinazohitilafiana kila kukicha. Kenya imeweza kudumisha amani hivi kwamba imesaidia kuweko na vikao vingi vinavyojadili uwezekano wa kuwa na amani kati ya jamii fitini ya Somalia na Sudan. Makao makuu ya UNEP (Shirika la mazingira la umoja wa mataifa) Nairobi, imewezesha kuinua sheria za mazingira kwa upeo wa kutamanika.

Lengo letu ni kuona kwamba kiwango cha kutokuwa na uadilifu kimedunishwa, hivi ni kusema kwamba, kazi yetu yalenga kusawazisha na kuweka maadili mema katika kiwango cha kimataifa, taifa, nchi hadi kwa watu binafsi.

IELRC (Chuo cha kimataifa cha utafiti wa sheria za mazingira) yataka kuongea kuhusu mazingira ikilenga taifa na kimataifa kuhusu mazingira, Kenya ikiwa mwanachama, mazungumzo ya IELRC yanapatanisha eneo la karibu na ya kitaifa kwa mashindano duniani.

Kando na utafiti wa mazingira, ofisi ya Kenya ya IELRC pia inatafiti kuhusu jinsia, elimu na habari za ufundi kuhusu uzima na haki za kumiliki. Tunapatanisha maongezi haya kwa nyanja tofauti ili tupate mahali timamu pa kumbukumbu. Kwa sababu hiyo, kufikika kwa mali ya kimazingira kwa wanawake ni jukumu letu. Kwa mapana kama vile kufikika kwa teknolojia mpya kwa nchi zinazoendelea na vitongojini vya wakulima.

Kama sehemu ya ufunzaji wa IELRC, mkurugenzi wa utaratibu wa IELRC Kenya, ni mwanachama wa wasaidizi wa chuo katika kituo cha sheria, chuo cha Nairobi. Mfululizo wa somo anazofunza ni: Sheria za mazingira za kimataifa, teknologia ya uzima na sheria: Sheria wazi, wanawake katika harakati za kutafuta uhalali, sheria na maendeleo pia, yeye ni kati ya wanaofunza chuo cha utafiti cha kusini na mashariki mwa Afrika kuhusu sheria za wanawake katika chuo kikuu cha Zimbabwe ambapo anafunza somo kuhusu mapatano ya mali kwa wanawake.

Ili kuzijenga zaidi sheria za mazingira , mkuregenzi wa IELRC anaongoza wanafunzi katika cheo cha mhitimu na wanaojiunga na chuo kikuu ikilenga IELRC eneo inayohusu hoja inayoangaziwa. Pia anafanya kazi na wanafunzi binafsi kama msaidizi wa utafiti.

Yanayoangaziwa kwa sheria za kimazingira ni kuhusu sheria na matumizi tofauti katika elimu ya uzima na asili yake;haki ya umiliki wa mali ya kimazingira jukumu la maafikiano ya kimataifa ya kimazingira kuhusu ardhi na umiliki wa mali, mazingira, kutofautiana na ushirikiano. Jukumu la serikali katika upangaji wa mipaka tofauti ya mali ya maji ikiangaza mto Nile ni: Kuandika waziwazi kuhusu nguvu za mazingira zinazohitilafiana katika eneo la maziwa makuu. Maafikiano, sheria za wanyama mwitu na mashauri yanayoangaziwa ya jinsia na kufanya sheria na mashauri ya matengeneo; kufikia uzuifu na umiliki wa ardhi na mali, kupigania mazungumzo kuu na kubadilisha mtindo juu ya haki za wanawake hadi kwa mali na ardhi. Mgogoro kati ya desturi na isiyo ya kawaida na kutilia nguvu chama na matokeo yake kwa haki za wanawake katika shughuli za ukulima na jamii ya wafugaji.

Yanayoangaziwa katika teknolojia ya uzima ni matokeo ya kujua uzuifu wa uharibifu wa mali, na kufikika kwa teknolojia ya uzima kwa wakulima wadogo wadogo. Njia za uzuiaji wa mabadiliko wa kizazi cha vitu vyenye uhai katika nchi za Afrika na msingi halai wa kustahili na kulipia haki katika utafiti wa teknolojia za uzima, maendeleo na uchumi katika Afrika.
