Robert KIBUGI, LLB LLM, LLD Dr. Robert Kibugi, Research Associate, holds an LLB and an LLM from the School of Law, University of Nairobi, and an LLD from the Faculty of Law, University of Ottawa. He is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya and works as a legal researcher and teacher in environmental law related legal issues, land law, law of torts. He teaches at the Centre for Advanced Studies in Environmental Law (CASELAP) and the School of Law, University of Nairobi, and has previously taught the law of torts, legal research and writing at the Faculty of Law, University of Ottawa, in Canada. His legal and policy research agenda focuses, inter alia, on public participation in natural resource governance; land reform; climate change; energy law; and water law. In 2012, Kibugi was appointed to the Government of Kenya Water Sector Transition Committee to facilitate transitioning of the legal, institutional and policy frameworks to the 2010 Constitution, and devolved governments.
