Falendra K. Sudan has been awarded Ph. D from University of Jammu in 1992. He is the recipient of two gold medals in post-graduate studies in Economics. Currently, he is serving as Reader, Department of Economics, University of Jammu , Jammu . He is Editor of International Journal of Environment and Development and on the editorial board of the international journals such as Journal of Social and Economic Policy and International Journal of Women, Social Justice and Human Rights .

He has completed a few research projects funded by the World Bank, Ministry of Environment and Forests, Ministry of Rural Development, and University Grants Commission (UGC). He has authored five books and edited two volumes on “Globalization and Liberalization: Nature and Consequences”, and “ India 's Economic Development” and contributed several papers in books and journals of repute.

He has also served as Consultant to the World Bank funded ‘Integrated Watershed Development Project (IWDP), Hills-II' and ‘Technical Education Project'. He is working on a major research project on ‘Globalization and Agricultural Diversification' funded by UGC, and other research project on ‘Natural Resource Management and Health Impact of Use of Cooking Fuels' funded by Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Government of India, New Delhi . He has also been awarded Senior Scholarship for International Training and Research Program, 2006-07 on ‘Groundwater Governance: Theory and Practice' by International Water Management Institute (IWMI), Sri Lanka .
