Dr. Satya Prakash Dash holds a doctorate from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. His doctoral thesis was Social Capital & Public Policy, which has been published with the support of ICSSR, New Delhi. He has deep interest in topics related to social development and public policy, particularly, civil society dynamics, human rights, displacement, panchayati raj, labour issues & constitutionalism. Research papers and articles written by him are published in reputed journals. He has also authored three books, latest being on Naxal Movement & State Power (2006). He has presented a paper in an international conference on Social Capital held at Uppsala University, Sweden in 1999. Currently he is associated with Research & Analysis of Public Policy, a non-profit, development & research institute in Orissa.
